The A6 models receive the S line exterior treatment as standard equipment, including 18-inch alloy wheels and rear integrated spoiler from the S6. Additional standard equipment consists of headlight washers, SIRIUS satellite radio, and seat-back storage pockets. This high-performance sedan features a 255 hp 3.2-literV6 with either front-wheel drive or Quattro all-wheel drive. It uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The all-new S6 quattro sedan is powered by a 435-hp 5.2-liter V10 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

A6 models come equipped with ABS, traction control, front side and curtain air bags. The suspension on the A6 adjusts the ride height and firmness to the road surface or driving style. The avant wagon has a power-operated tail gate.
