Mazda3 is offered in two body styles - a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback - and in three different models - Mazda3s, Mazda3i, and MazdaSpeed3. Both the four-door sedan and the five-door s have an athletic look, the four-door promotes a feeling of strength, while the five-door is the sportiest model in the lineup.

The engine lineup continues to be the 2.0-liter for i models and the 2.3-liter on s models. The 2.0-liter engine produces 148 hp, while the 2.3-liter engine produces 156 hp.
