For the 2011 model year, the Mitsubishi Eclipse - the company's iconic sports coupe that is available in GS, GS Sport and GT models - receives upgrades that improve both its appearance and performance. A peppy 162 horsepower, normally-aspirated 2.4-liter SOHC MIVEC 16-valve inline 4-cylinder engine powers both the GS and GS Sport models (the base model GS is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission with an optional 4-speed automatic while the GS Sport comes exclusively with the 4-speed automatic unit).
