Pathfinder capability reaches a new level with an available 5.6-liter V8 rated at 300-plus horsepower and 380-plus lb.ft. of torque - the first time a V8 has ever been offered in Pathfinder. The new V8 engine is offered in addition to a 4.0-liter V6 engine. Both engines are available with 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive, giving buyers a wide range of engine/driveline configurations to meet their specific performance needs and desires.

The new 5.6-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 engine gives Pathfinder a maximum towing capacity of 7,000 pounds, versus V6-equipped Pathfinders' 6,000-pound rating. The V8 engine package is offered in two new Pathfinder models, SE-V8 and LE-V8, both available in 4x2 and 4x4 drive configurations.
