The Camry again offers three powertrain choices, all of which have been enhanced to provide better fuel economy and more responsive performance. All Camry models with the revised 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine offer 178 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of peak torque. EPA-estimated fuel economy figures are 25 mpg city/35 highway, and the 28 mpg combined is two more than the previous generation Camry. The 2.5-liter engine employs Dual VVT-i (Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent), which controls valve timing on both the intake and exhaust camshafts for optimal performance and efficiency at all engine speeds.
