The CC is a four-door "coupe" based on the Passat. Engine offerings include a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 that develops 200 horsepower, and a 3.6-liter V6 pumping out 280 hp. Transmission offerings are a 6-speed manual or automatic. Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel drive system is available with the V6 engine.

All CC models come with a panoramic sunroof, folding rear seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. In addition, leather seats are included on all but the base model.
