About Me
1980 Custom Corvette:
This 1980 Corvette was bought totaled in 1980 with 4000 miles on it. It needed an entire chassis, firewall, and nose. The car was hit so hard that the left front tire bent the clutch pedal. In 1983 after sitting wrecked for three years we finally decided to do something with it. First we started with the custom hand crafted rear bumber with Buick Somerset taillight, functional slotted and reverse lights. After that the doors were remodeled with Ferrari 308 scoops, the fenders also got a facelift per some late model firebird scoops molded into the lower fender and the Daytona scoops flush mounted to the upper surround panel. The side ground effects are mostly hand crafted being molded in anywhere they could with the rear ground effects being completely crafted from scratch. The front bumper is the Daytona custom bumber and the front emblem is flush mounted to the surround panel. The hood is a Daytona high rise with a Z-28 scoop molded in with hand crafted body lines. The paint consists of DuPont jet black and five metalflake lacquer (thats right) candy colors topped off with a urethane clear.
The interior consists of hand crafted Italian leather seat covers and door panels with matching mohair inserts.
The engine is a 350ci small block topped with racing heads, B&M;forced induction supercharger system, B&M;Superjection fuel injection system, and a whole bunch of polished aluminum. The firewall, wheel skirts, and everything else is also ground down smooth and painted to match.
This car was painted over 24 years ago and still takes home top awards today!
- "An incredibly well-crafted; radical ride - and it looks just as hot today as it did 15 years ago!" - Vette, May 2004
- "WOW!" - Super Chevy, May 2004
