What are the dates for the 2021 New York International Auto Show?

Friday, August 20 to Sunday, August 29, 2021

What are the hours for the Auto Show?

Monday – Saturday: 10am-10pm

Sundays: 10am-7pm

Is the Auto Show open to the general public?

Yes, the Auto Show is open to the public.

Where is the Jacob Javits Convention Center located?

Between 34th – 40th Street and 11th Avenue, in New York City.

When and where is the ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the show?

The opening day ceremony is held the first Saturday of the show (Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 8:30am-10:00am).  Join us at Crystal Palace entrance located on 35th and 11th Avenue

Is there a lost and found office?

May I purchase a car at the Auto Show?

Although you cannot purchase a car at the Auto Show, take advantage of your time to look at the vehicle of your choice, obtain information then visit your local dealership to make your purchase.

When is the next New York International Auto Show?

Is the Javits Center a smoke-free facility?

Yes, the Javits Center is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed areas including the covered portion of the inner roadway.

Are pets allowed inside the Javits Center?

No. Pets are not allowed.

Will I be allowed into the show with my service animal?

Yes. In situations where it is not obvious that a dog is a service animal, staff may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) has the dog been trained to perform a specific function? Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the dog, require that the dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person’s disability. (source: ada.gov)

Are there metal detectors for security?

Yes. Please do not bring pocket knives or other metal items that may be confiscated.

Will I be allowed to sit inside vehicles?

Generally the answer is yes.  Some vehicles being concepts are not accessible. All manufacturers will be doing enhanced cleaning and sanitizing during the Auto Show.

How much are the tickets?

General Adult Admission – $17 / Early Access Adult Admission – $45

General Child Admission- $7 / Early Access Child Admission – $17

How do I purchase tickets?

Purchase your tickets online at https://www.autoshowny.com/tickets/. Or download the NY Auto Show App starting in July 2021.  Use your mobile device to access your ticket as we are limiting the usage of printed tickets.  Each ticket has a unique barcode. Duplicate copies of the same ticket will not be accepted.  There will be limited availability of on-site ticket sales and we encourage attendees to purchase in advance.

How do I purchase group tickets?

Group tickets are available for groups of 20 or more adults and for 10 or more children (plus chaperones at the adult group rate).  Purchase via our website: www.autoshowny.com/tickets

Group or 20 or more adults (ages 13 and over) at a rate of $15/ticket

Group of 10 or more children (ages 12 and under) at a rate of $5/ticket

May I purchase tickets at the door?

We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in Advanced via our website  to avoid direct contact on show site and any wait times on-site. You may also purchase tickets through the show App NY Auto Show (Available in July 2021) Credit cards are accepted on-site when purchasing tickets at the Box Office and Credit Card Kiosks.   

Can I get a refund?

Auto Show tickets are non-refundable.  However, they are transferable to friends and family.

Will tickets sell out on site?

We do not anticipate tickets to sell out on-site, however, you may have to wait to enter should any capacity requirements still be required in August. We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance to avoid longer wait times.

I still have my 2020 Auto Show tickets, can I use them for the 2021 Auto Show?

If you requested to have your 2020 tickets transferred to the 2021 NY Auto Show, you will receive an email with a link or code to obtain your replacement tickets in April 2021. 2020 Tickets cannot be used at the show and you must contact us at tickets@autoshowny.com to receive valid tickets.

Do I need to print the E-Tickets I purchased online and bring them to the show?

To limit on site contact we encourage you to save your confirmation and bar code to your mobile device. You may choose to print your ticket, but we will only be scanning tickets and not collecting any paper at the entrances. 

I did not receive or cannot locate my ticket confirmation. Can you resend my tickets?

Certainly!  Please contact us at tickets@autoshowny.com with the name and email address used to make the purchase.

You can also return to the Ticket Purchase landing page and click on the “Need Help?” link at the top to be directed to reprint your tickets. 

My E-Ticket has my name on it. Can I give it to someone else to use if I cannot go?

Yes. The tickets are transferable to friends and family!

May I use the same ticket multiple times?

A ticket is valid for ONE entry into the show.  Duplicate copies will not be accepted.  Tickets are scanned real time, any attempt to use the same ticket for multiple entries will not allow access to the show.

Is there a "Will Call" and an “Information Booth”?

The Will Call desk is located inside the Javits Center in the Crystal Palace before you enter the show on Level 3 by the 35th Street entrance.  The Information booth is inside the show on the North Concourse on level 2.

Is there re-entry to the show once I leave the Javits Center?

There is no re-entry into the show once you leave.

Where is the Jacob Javits Convention Center located?

Between 34th – 40th Street and 11th Avenue, in New York City.

Is there parking at the Javits Center?

There is NO public parking available at the Javits Centers on-site.  There are a limited number of Special Needs parking spaces occasionally available for attendees with a valid Parking Permit for People with Disabilities issued by a government authority. What is the cost of parking for the auto show?

There are many Parking Lots within walking distance to the Javits Center.  Please visit our website’s Visitor Information page for more information on public transportation and parking.  The show has an arrangement with Spot Hero, please access their discount at http://www.autoshowny.com/general-info/getting-there/

Are there any shuttle buses available?

We do not have shuttle busses.  The Javits Center is accessible via public transportation, by subway on the 7 line to Hudson Yards, by bus on the M34 or M42. Various Parking Lots conveniently located within walking distance to the Javits Center. Please visit www.mta.info for more information.

I am traveling from outside of NY, what is the closest Airport?

The New York metropolitan area is serviced by three major airports: JFK International, Newark International and LaGuardia Airport. Travel time by taxi from the airports to midtown Manhattan varies by airport. Travel time from LaGuardia to midtown can take anywhere from 25-40 minutes. JFK can take anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour and Newark 40 to 60 minutes. (source: Javits Center – Getting Here)

Do you have wheelchairs or mobility vehicles available on show site?

Yes, the Javits Center can assist you in renting a Mobility Vehicle to use at the event.  Please visit https://javitscenter.com/attend/mobility-vehicle-rental/ to make your reservation.

Are strollers allowed on the show floor?

Yes. Strollers are allowed.

Are cameras & video cameras permitted on the show floor?

Yes! Take and share as many photos as you like on your social media pages. Remember to tag us! #NYIAS

Can I bring a water bottle for my kids?

Yes.

Is there a coat check?

Coat Check Service is managed by the Javits Center and is subject to availability.  Please call the Javits Center at (212) 216-2000 or email moreinfo@javitscenter.com prior to travel to inquire.

Is there a place to eat?

**All concessions are managed by ‘Cultivated’ the Javits Center Official Food provider.**

Attendees and event staff have plenty of choices about where to eat within the Javits Center.  A food court on Level 1, a full-service Starbucks, and the Concourse Café on level 2 and on level 3 a second full-service Starbucks, as well as the Crystal Palace Marketplace.

Is there a health and Safety Plan in place?

Prior to the event, event organizers and Javits Center will work together to create and make available a joint Health and Safety Response Plan should this be necessary based on the current condition.
