What are the dates for the 2022 New York International Auto Show?

Friday, April 15 to Sunday, April 24, 2022

What are the hours for the Auto Show?

Monday – Saturday:  10am-10pm

Sundays:  10am-7pm

Is the Auto Show open to the general public?

Yes, the Auto Show is open to the public.

Are there any health and safety requirements?

At the present time, all events at the Javits Center require that attendees and exhibitors wear masks and be able to provide proof of a vaccination for COVID-19 . As NY State and the Javits Center provide us with further guidance on event safety requirements, we will advise exhibitors and attendees of those policies.

When and where is the ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the show?

The opening day ceremony is held the first Saturday of the show (Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 8:30 am-10:00 am).
Join us at Crystal Palace entrance located on 35th and 11th Avenue.

Is there a lost and found office?

May I purchase a car at the Auto Show?

Although you cannot purchase a car at the Auto Show, take advantage of your time to research the vehicle of your choice, obtain information then visit your local dealership to make your purchase.

Is the Javits Center a smoke-free facility?

Yes, the Javits Center is a smoke-free facility. Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vaping pens are prohibited in all enclosed areas including the covered portion of the inner roadway.

Are pets allowed inside the Javits Center?

Pets are not allowed.

Will I be allowed into the show with my service animal?

In situations where it is not obvious that a dog or other animal is a service animal, staff may ask only two specific questions:
(1) is the dog or other animal a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) has it been trained to perform a specific function?
Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the animal, require that it demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person’s disability. (source: ada.gov)

Are there metal detectors for security?

Yes. Please do not bring knives, pocketknives, box cutters or any other metal items that may be considered dangerous. All confiscated items will be handed over to the 10th Police Precinct of the NYPD.

Will I be allowed to sit inside vehicles?

The answer is yes. However, there are vehicles that are concepts and not accessible. Extra steps are being taken to keep all vehicles sanitized throughout the show.

What is the cost of tickets?

General Adult Admission – $17 / Early Access Adult Admission – $45
General Child Admission- $7 / Early Access Child Admission – $17

How do I purchase tickets?

Purchase your tickets online at https://www.autoshowny.com/tickets/. Or download the NY Auto Show App which will be active early in 2022. Use your mobile device to access your ticket as we are limiting the usage of printed tickets. Each ticket has a unique barcode. Duplicate copies of the same ticket will not be accepted. There will be limited availability of on-site ticket sales and we encourage attendees to purchase in advance.

How do I purchase group tickets?

Group tickets are available for groups of 20 or more adults and for 10 or more children (plus chaperones at the adult group rate). Purchase via our website: autoshowny.com/tickets

  • Group or 20 or more adults (ages 13 and over) at a rate of $14/ticket
  • Group of 10 or more children (ages 12 and under) at a rate of $5/ticket

Do you offer and Private Tour Packages?

Yes. If you are interested in booking a private group tour, please contact us at tickets@autoshowny.com

May I purchase tickets at the door?

We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in Advance on the show website to save money and time at show site. You may also purchase tickets through the show App NY Auto Show (Available in early 2022) Credit cards are accepted on-site when purchasing tickets at the Box Office and Credit Card Kiosks.

Can I get a refund?

Auto Show tickets are non-refundable.  However, they are transferable to friends and family.

Will tickets sell out on site?

We do not anticipate tickets to sell out on-site. We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in Advance to avoid longer wait times.

I still have tickets from the 2020 and 2021 Auto Show, can I use them for the 2022 Auto Show?

Tickets purchased for the 2020 or 2021 Auto Show are no longer valid.

All 2021 ticket purchases were processed for refund, and you should have received an email or a notification on your credit card/bank statement of a refund.

If you requested to have your 2020 ticket transferred, you will receive a replacement ticket.

If you are in doubt, please email us at tickets@autoshowny.com to confirm your status.

Do I need to print the ticket I purchased online and bring it to the show?

We encourage you to save your confirmation and bar code to your mobile device. You may choose to print your ticket. We will be scanning all tickets printed and on your smart device at all entrances to the show.

I did not receive or cannot locate my ticket confirmation. Can you resend my tickets?

Ticket purchase confirmations are sent from confirmation@etix.com.  Please check your email’s Spam/Junk folder.

If you still cannot locate it, please contact us at tickets@autoshowny.com with the name and email address used to make the purchase.

My ticket has my name on it. Can I give it to someone else to use if I cannot go?

Yes. The tickets are transferable to friends and family!

May I use the same ticket multiple times?

A ticket is valid for ONE entry into the show.  Duplicate copies will not be accepted.  Tickets are scanned real time, any attempt to use the same ticket for multiple entries will not allow access to the show.

Is there a "Will Call" and an “Information Booth”?

The Will Call desk is located inside the Javits Center in the Crystal Palace before you enter the show on Level 3 by the 35th Street entrance. The Information booth is inside the show on the North Concourse on level 2.

Is there re-entry to the show once I leave the Javits Center?

There is no re-entry into the show once you leave.

Where is the Jacob Javits Convention Center located?

Between 34th – 40th Street and 11th Avenue, in New York City.

Is there parking at the Javits Center?

There is NO public parking available at the Javits Centers on-site. There are a limited number of Special Needs parking spaces occasionally available for attendees with a valid Parking Permit for People with Disabilities issued by a government authority. Please call the Javits Security & Safety Solutions Department at (212) 216 2196 for information. (Source: Accessibility at the Javits Center).

Are there any shuttle buses available?

We do not have shuttle busses, but there is Public Transportation to the Javits Center.

Is the Javits Center accessible via public transportation?

By subway, the 7 line runs to Hudson Yards which is adjacent to the Javits Center. By bus, both the M34 and the M42 drop off by the Javits Center. Please visit www.mta.info for more information as the Auto Show does offer ticket discounts with LIRR and MNR.

I am traveling from outside of NY, what is the closest Airport?

The New York metropolitan area is serviced by three major airports: JFK International, Newark International and LaGuardia Airport.  Travel time by taxi from the airports to midtown Manhattan varies by airport. Travel time from LaGuardia to midtown can take anywhere from 25-40 minutes. JFK can take anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour and Newark 40 to 60 minutes. (source: Javits Center – Getting Here)

Do you have wheelchairs or mobility vehicles available on show site?

Yes, the Javits Center can assist you in renting a Mobility Vehicle to use at the event. Please visit https://javitscenter.com/attend/mobility-vehicle-rental/ to make your reservation.

Are strollers allowed at the show?

Yes. Strollers are allowed.

Are cameras & video cameras permitted on the show floor?

Yes! Take and share as many photos as you like on your social media pages.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, the Javits Center offers limited complimentary WiFi.

Can I bring a water bottle for my kids?

Yes.

Is there First Aid or a nursing station?

There is a First Aid Station on Level 1, along with paramedics that are stationed throughout the Javits Center.  This room is also designated as a lactation station.

Is there a coat check?

Coat Check Service is managed by the Javits Center and is subject to availability. Please call the Javits Center at (212) 216-2000 or email moreinfo@javitscenter.com prior to travel to inquire.

 

Is there a place to eat?

**All concessions are managed by ‘Cultivated’ the Javits Center Official Food Service. **
Attendees and event staff have a variety of choices about where to eat within the Javits Center. A food court on Level 1, a full-service Starbucks, and the Concourse Café on level 2 and on level 3 a second full-service Starbucks, as well as the Crystal Palace Marketplace.
